Pat McGarry announces the arrival of his second child
Former MasterChef Australia contestant Pat McGarry has shared some heartwarming family news, announcing the arrival of his second child with fiancée Emma Miller.

The 36-year-old revealed on Instagram that the couple recently welcomed a baby girl, Stevie Anne McGarry, marking an exciting new milestone for their growing family.
Introducing their newborn to followers, Pat joked that Stevie made everyone wait for her arrival.
“Absolutely delighted to introduce Stevie Anne McGarry. A couple weeks past her due date she was extracted weighing 9.2 pounds,” he wrote.
He also shared that the couple’s eldest daughter, Frankie, has embraced her new role with enthusiasm, while praising Emma after the demanding birth.
“Frankie is loving being a big sister and our hero Emma is recovering well,” he added.
A calm start for baby Stevie
Speaking with TV Week, Pat said the transition from three to four family members has been easier than expected, with baby Stevie proving to be remarkably relaxed in her first days at home.
The television favourite admitted the family is still waiting for the sleepless nights to begin.
“I keep wondering when she’s going to start screaming at us, but she’s just taking it all in,” he said.
According to Pat, Stevie has settled into a peaceful routine, happily feeding before drifting back to sleep, leaving the new parents feeling fortunate during the early days.
A birth that didn’t unfold as expected
Although finally meeting their daughter was an unforgettable moment, Pat revealed the journey to her arrival was far from straightforward.
Stevie was born 15 days after her due date, prompting Pat to joke that, “in food terms, she was definitely well done.”
While doctors had initially planned to induce labour, unexpected complications meant Emma ultimately underwent an emergency Caesarean section.
Pat described the experience as an intense and emotional few weeks for the entire family before they were finally able to welcome their healthy daughter.
More than a decade together
Pat and Emma have been together since 2013 and became engaged after years of building a life together.
The MasterChef favourite previously revealed he knew he wanted to marry Emma when they moved into their first home together.
Recalling the memorable proposal, Pat laughed that Emma had just come home from work dressed as Miss Trunchbull from Matilda for Book Week celebrations at the school where she teaches, making the special moment even more unforgettable.

A happy new chapter
Now settling into life as a family of four, Pat and Emma are embracing the busy but rewarding weeks of parenthood.
With Frankie proudly stepping into her role as a big sister and baby Stevie already keeping a calm temperament, the couple are enjoying what Pat describes as a wonderful start to this new chapter together.
