MasterChef Judge Sofia Levin’s Mystery Fiancé Revealed — After He Quietly Appeared Right Under Fans’ Noses

MasterChef Judge Sofia Levin’s Mystery Fiancé Revealed After Hiding in Plain Sight

MasterChef Australia judge Sofia Levin has largely kept her relationship away from the spotlight, revealing only that she had become engaged to someone she had known many years ago.

Now, the identity of her husband-to-be has emerged — and viewers may have already seen him without realising it.

Sofia is engaged to Dr Beau Growcott, a Melbourne-based registered psychologist who has quietly appeared throughout her social media posts and even made a brief appearance on MasterChef Australia.

Who Is Dr Beau Growcott?

Beau is the director of Fellow Psychology, a psychology practice located in Prahran, Melbourne.

According to his professional profile, he has extensive experience supporting members of the LGBTIAQ+ community and is particularly passionate about improving access to mental healthcare for men at different stages of their lives.

Away from his professional work, Beau shares Sofia’s enthusiasm for travel, food and exploring new destinations.

The couple have been photographed together during several overseas trips, including a visit to Puerto Escondido in Mexico shortly after their engagement.

A Friendship Rekindled After Almost 20 Years

Sofia previously revealed that she and Beau originally knew each other at school but had barely crossed paths for approximately two decades.

They eventually reconnected, and their friendship gradually developed into a relationship.

Speaking about her engagement earlier this year, Sofia described Beau as an incredibly supportive person who understood her and the demands of her life.

The pair have also completed a renovation of their Melbourne home, something Sofia jokingly described as making their relationship feel particularly grown-up.

The Engagement Announcement Hidden in a Photo Collection

Beau proposed to Sofia in September 2025, presenting her with a diamond engagement ring.

However, there was no major public announcement at the time.

Instead, Sofia subtly included a photograph of the ring in a collection of images shared as part of her end-of-year reflection several months later.

She also wrote about learning to experience happiness and grief at the same time following the passing of her father, Greg, referring to the experience of carrying her loss while also falling in love.

Because photographs of Beau were often placed several images into Sofia’s Instagram carousels, his identity remained largely unnoticed by many of her followers.

Beau’s Brief MasterChef Australia Cameo

Beau was not only visible on Sofia’s social media.

He also made a brief appearance during the current season of MasterChef Australia, featuring in a video played to contestants before a Week 2 challenge.

The footage showed Sofia and Beau preparing breakfast together inside their recently renovated home, accompanied by Sofia’s red toy poodle, Jinkee.

Although the appearance lasted only a short time, it meant Sofia’s mystery fiancé had technically already been introduced to viewers before his identity became widely known.

When Will Sofia Levin and Beau Growcott Get Married?

Despite becoming engaged in September 2025, Sofia and Beau are not rushing to organise their wedding.

Sofia has indicated that the ceremony is unlikely to take place before the middle of 2027, explaining that the couple currently have too many other commitments.

For the moment, they are content to enjoy the engagement rather than immediately moving into wedding preparations.

“You don’t get to be engaged forever, so might as well lean in,” Sofia said.

One potential member of the bridal party has already been suggested: Jinkee.

After a friend commented that the poodle would make a beautiful bridesmaid, Sofia joked that the arrangement might work — provided Jinkee receives enough attention, treats and pats.
