MAFS Star Susie Bradley Confirms Split from Todd Carney Just 18 Months After Wedding — Five Months After Welcoming Their Second Child

MAFS Star Susie Bradley Confirms Split from Todd Carney Just 18 Months After Wedding

Susie Bradley has confirmed her marriage to former NRL star Todd Carney has come to an end, just 18 months after the couple tied the knot in what many believed was the happy ending to their years-long love story.

The former Married At First Sight bride broke the news in a series of emotional Instagram posts over the weekend, revealing she is now navigating the heartbreak of a painful separation.

Her candid admission comes only months after the couple welcomed their second child together following a difficult IVF journey.

‘My Heart Is Actually Broken’

In a raw video shared with followers, the 33-year-old mother-of-three admitted she was struggling to cope with the emotional aftermath of the breakup.

“I know without doubt I’m probably going to crash and burn very soon. But f**k it’s a roller coaster, so just gotta roll with it, I guess.”

Susie explained she had decided to openly document her emotions rather than hide them.

“Decided I’m sharing the breakup spiral because watching other people lose the plot has been oddly comforting.”

Earlier the same day, she posted another emotional message while walking alone.

“Posting this partly for attention and partly because my heart is actually f**king broken.”

She later acknowledged that many people seek reassurance during difficult times.

“Half the s**t we post is for validation and attention. This is simply more transparent.”

Split Rumours Had Been Growing for Weeks

Although Susie has now publicly confirmed the separation, speculation about the state of the marriage first surfaced in June.

At the time, she shared several cryptic social media posts that many followers believed hinted at relationship problems.

One post criticised women who knowingly pursue married men, while another appeared to question behaviour that fell short of physical infidelity.

“I didn’t cheat. Okay, but you entertained women, hid things, crossed boundaries, and made me question myself. What exactly do you call that then?”

Susie reshared the clip with the comment:

“Oh, okay, yep this one.”

Neither Susie nor Todd publicly identified anyone in those posts, and she has not confirmed whether the messages were directly referring to their relationship.

A Love Story Filled With Second Chances

The breakup marks another unexpected chapter in a relationship that had already survived several major setbacks.

Susie and Todd first began dating in 2019, with the former NRL star embracing the role of stepfather to Susie’s daughter, Baby.

The couple became engaged before calling off their first engagement in 2022.

However, they reconciled in 2023 and announced a second engagement in May 2024, convincing many fans that they had overcome their earlier challenges.

They eventually married in an intimate outdoor ceremony at their Gold Coast home in January 2025.

Joy Turned to Heartbreak Within Months

The end of the marriage is particularly surprising given how recently the couple celebrated another milestone together.

In February 2026, Susie and Todd welcomed their second son, King Daryl Carney, after successfully conceiving through IVF.

Sharing the announcement at the time, Susie introduced the newborn with a heartfelt message celebrating the family’s newest arrival.

The birth had appeared to mark the beginning of a new chapter for the couple.

Instead, just months later, Susie has revealed she is facing one of the most difficult periods of her life.

Todd Carney: From NRL Star to Family Man

Todd Carney, now 40, was once regarded as one of the NRL’s most gifted playmakers, earning the prestigious Dally M Medal during his career.

In recent years, however, he had largely stepped away from the spotlight, focusing on family life with Susie and their children on the Gold Coast.

He has not publicly commented on the breakup.

A New Chapter Begins

For now, Susie says she is allowing herself to experience the grief rather than pretending everything is fine.

Her decision to openly share the emotional reality of heartbreak has resonated with many followers, even as questions remain about what ultimately led to the end of the marriage.

After years of breakups, reconciliations, engagements and a wedding that seemed to promise a fresh start, another high-profile Australian love story has come to an unexpectedly emotional end.
