CNN's Scott Jennings Blows Up on 23-Year-Old Adam Mockler Mocking His Iran War Support

Conservative commentator Scott Jennings lost his cool on a 23-year-old CNN panelist on Thursday, April 30, during a debate on the Iran war, demanding the young liberal get his ‘f—ing hand out of my face.”

Jennings, 48, dropped the f-bomb on air after taking onus at the gesticulating of Gen Z liberal pundit Adam Mockler as the 23-year-old needled the former George W. Bush White House official for supporting the Iraq War then and President Donald Trump’s war in Iran now.

“We all know that Scott Jennings is more than happy to defend a war with a country that starts with the letters ‘I, R, A,’ that we are currently failing, that is going to put us trillions and trillions of dollars in debt,” Mockler said. “I was only a few years old when you were in the administration defending prior endless wars. Now this war is failing.”

“Eight weeks is endless to you?” Jennings replied. “You have the attention span of a gnat?”

Mockler fired back by noting Jennings had previously argued the war launched by the U.S. and Israel on Feb. 28 would only last four to six weeks.

“Now you’re making condescending remarks because you can’t defend the fact that this war is not going your way,” Mockler said.

As Mockler continued to press Jennings, the pro-Trump panelist turned to him and snapped, “get your f—ing hand out of my face.”

CNN host Abby Phillip jumped in to calm the fray and Jennings appealed to her to rein in Mockler.

“Honestly, I’m not going to have this guy’s hand in my face,” Jennings said to Phillip. “Honestly.”

“No. Everybody, calm down, okay?” Phillip, 37, urged. “We’re having a debate. You can respond to the points he’s making or not.”

Fellow panelist Geraldo Rivera, the longtime TV personality and former Fox News host, compared the spat to the 1988 brawl on his morning talk show between neo-Nazi skinheads and Black civil rights activist Roy Innis that left Rivera with a bloody nose.

The debate began with a discussion of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s testimony to the Senate on Thursday, insisting Americans are “grateful” for Trump launching the war against Iran.

A poll released by The Washington Post and ABC News on Friday, May 1, found the war in Iran is as unpopular with Americans as the Iraq War was at the peak of the conflict in 2006 and the Vietnam War in the early 1970s.

More than 60% of Americans told pollsters it was a mistake to launch the war and just 19% said the war has been successful, including less than half of Republicans, according to the poll.

Mockler, who has north of 2 million YouTube subscribers, later took to X to continue his mockery of Jennings.

“Grown man on the verge of tears because he can’t answer a question,” Mockler wrote, later adding, “Scott loves to dish it but can’t take it.”

Even California Gov. Gavin Newsom got in on the moment, with his press office posting a digitally altered image of the CNN panel that replaced Jennings’ head with a snowflake.
