💥 “The hero who captured Australia’s heart is now at the centre of a bitter family battle…” As a dispute over a substantial reward escalates, sh0cking claims are emerging from those closest to him.

Bondi shooting hero Ahmed Al Ahmed has been charged with assault and stalking.

The 44-year-old is accused of attacking his father at his home in March.

He allegedly put the elderly man in a headlock, 7News reported.

Ahmed will face court on July 29.

An Apprehended Violence Order (AVO) taken out against Ahmed by police on behalf of his father stated Ahmed cannot ‘assault’, ‘stalk’, ‘harass’, or ‘contact’ his dad.

He was also ordered to stay 100 metres away from his home and workplace.

Ahmed was applauded as a hero following the terror attack on a Jewish festival at Bondi Beach on December 14, in which 15 innocent people lost their lives.

Ahmed had wrestled a gun from one of the two alleged gunmen, who was later fatally shot by police. The surviving gunman remains before the court.

In recognition of his actions, Ahmed in March was awarded a ‘Key to the City’ and lifetime Waverley Beach Pass.

The latter gives him free waterfront parking to some of Sydney‘s best beaches.

Mayor Will Nemesh described the hero’s actions as ‘a guiding light to prevail against the darkness’.

‘Amid scenes of unthinkable horror, Ahmed ran towards grave danger to save countless innocent people, physically disarming one of the shooters and forcing him to retreat,’ Mr Nemesh said.

‘The entire Waverley community is incredibly thankful to him.

‘These gestures we present today symbolise our never-ending gratitude. This gratitude can never be enough.’

Ahmed was severely injured in the attack and people around the world donated to a fundraiser for his recovery, which made about $2.6million.

Ahmed’s two brothers were later charged for allegedly threatening Ahmed over the phone.

His father, Mohamad Fateh Al Ahmed, in an interview outside hospital in the days following the Bondi terror attack, praised his son’s bravery.

He said he was a humble grocery shop owner who had migrated to Australia in 2006.

He explained his son had gone to Bondi to meet a friend.

‘He had lunch and left the house and his friend asked him to get coffee… when they arrived they were confronted with gunmen shooting.

‘Their lives were in danger and he noticed one person not far from him hiding behind a tree with a weapon.
