Fox News host Kat Timpf has shared a heartwarming family update just one month after her father unexpectedly died.
The 37-year-old proudly showed off her newest family member in a sweet video shared to Instagram – a one-eyed cat named Juan.
‘So everyone knows I had a really rough year last year,’ the mom-of-one began the video.
‘I was diagnosed with breast cancer, 15 hours later went into labor, gave birth to my son, had a double mastectomy, my dad helped me through the whole thing and then two months after my son’s first birthday, my dad just dropped dead.’
‘It’s been really hard,’ she admitted. ‘I’ve been going through a lot.’
Timpf then held up Juan to the camera.
The black-and-white feline was dressed in an adorable baby blue hoodie, which matched Timpf’s nails, as she enthusiastically pointed to her new pet.
‘I mean, even if you’ve gone through a lot of loss as I have, as long as you haven’t lost your free will, you can adopt a one-eyed-cat, name him Juan cause he has “Juan eye,” and put him in a hoodie,’ she said to the camera, still holding the cat.

‘Look at that,’ she marveled. ‘Look how cute.’
She also posted a snap of herself with Juan, captioning it: ‘Baddies missing body parts’ in reference to both his eye and her double mastectomy.
Fans flooded the comment section of the posts, thrilled to see the popular host looking happier.
‘Lovely photo of you and the cat. God bless you. He is strengthening you for all you have been through. I absolutely love that photo. The cat is adorable,’ gushed one user.
‘Love your new addition to the Family,’ said someone else.
‘I never comment on these posts but made an exception for this one. After all you’ve been through, I’m so happy you rescued this precious kitty. Animals have the power to heal. This precious kitty will help you handle anything, even NYC!’ penned another.
Juan also now has his own Instagram page that has already racked up nearly 7,000 followers.

In a statement, Timpf described her late father as ‘loyal, funny, kind, selfless, hard-working, and so devoted to his children’ and that he was her ‘rock’ and her ‘best friend.’
‘He was the most dependable person anyone has ever met,’ she wrote. ‘I always felt like, as long as I had his phone number, there was not a problem I could not solve.
‘I needed him here with me; I am not okay, and I am far from the only person who feels this.’
Timpf revealed that she last saw her father on the Monday before he died and that her son was ‘so proud to help his grandfather push his suitcase down to the car as he left.’
‘The goodbyes were quick,’ she recalled. ‘Why wouldn’t they be?
‘We would all see each other again at the beginning of June, when we would all head to Texas for my shows and to see my grandpa.’
Timpf shared that her father had been by her side through her cancer journey and the birth of her son, describing him as the reason for her stability.
She added that her mother Anne Marie died in 2014.
‘It was an awful, awful year… but I found so much joy and hope throughout it by watching the beauty of a very special relationship form between my son and my father,’ she wrote.
Voicing her devastation over her sudden loss, Timpf said that she would ‘amputate her breasts every year just to be able to speak with him one more time, even for five minutes.’
Concluding her post, she urged her followers to ‘do something kind for someone you know.’
