Speculation that Kyle Sandilands and Karl Stefanovic were preparing to launch a major new media project together has officially been dismissed, with Kyle’s long-time manager confirming the buzz was nothing more than a carefully orchestrated publicity stunt.

Domain Registrations Sparked Widespread Speculation
Rumours began circulating last month after two domain names — KyleandKarl.com.au and KarlandKyle.com.au — were registered in June 2026 by Kyle Sandilands’ company, King Kyle Group Pty Ltd.
The registrations quickly fuelled speculation that the long-time friends, who had both recently exited high-profile media roles, were preparing to reunite for a new joint venture.
Many fans believed the domains signalled the launch of a new Kyle and Karl show, prompting widespread discussion across the Australian media industry.

Bruno Bouchet Confirms It Was All a Publicity Stunt
Appearing on the Game Changers podcast, Kyle’s long-time manager and business partner Bruno Bouchet put the rumours to rest, confirming there had never been any genuine plans for a Kyle and Karl program.
When asked whether registering the domains had simply been an exercise in generating headlines and stirring conversation, Bouchet admitted that was exactly what happened.
“Yeah, absolutely. There was nothing to it.”
He explained that he registered both domain names while speaking with a journalist who had called to ask whether Kyle and Karl could be teaming up.
According to Bouchet, the spontaneous purchase cost just $7, describing it as one of the best investments he had made considering the amount of media attention it generated.

Why Bouchet Never Believed the Partnership Would Work
Although the stunt successfully sparked widespread speculation, Bouchet said he never believed a permanent Kyle and Karl show would offer audiences anything truly distinctive.
He questioned what unique chemistry the pair could bring to a daily program, noting that successful partnerships require a clear point of difference rather than simply pairing two well-known personalities together.
Bouchet said the most important question for any collaboration is what viewers or listeners would receive that they couldn’t find elsewhere, adding that every successful partnership needs its own “secret sauce.”
While praising both men’s individual strengths, he said he struggled to see how combining them into a regular show would create something genuinely unique.
Kyle Sandilands Turning His Attention to a Solo Project
Rather than launching a joint venture with Stefanovic, Kyle is now preparing to debut Kyle Sandilands Live, his first major broadcasting project outside ARN.
The subscription-based platform is scheduled to launch on August 10 and will feature a dedicated app.
Subscribers will also have access to a four-part documentary chronicling Kyle’s efforts to rebuild his career following his departure from The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
Bouchet confirmed that Karl Stefanovic will appear as a guest on the new program, but stressed that he will not be joining as a permanent co-host.
Karl Stefanovic Continues Focusing on His Own Podcast
Meanwhile, Karl Stefanovic remains committed to his own media venture, The Karl Stefanovic Show podcast.
The podcast has attracted attention in recent weeks for featuring several high-profile and controversial guests, including Piers Morgan, Tommy Robinson, and Holly Valance.
With Bouchet’s comments now ending weeks of speculation, it appears both media personalities will continue pursuing separate projects rather than joining forces for a permanent partnership.
