KATE Garraway has jetted off to Italy with new boyfriend Liam Halligan on their first romantic trip abroad.
The Good Morning Britain presenter, 59, has joined her economic journalist beau, 57, on a work trip to Europe over the weekend.
The pair have been quietly dating for three months.
An insider said: “Liam was travelling to Italy and asked Kate to join him, she was happy to oblige.
“It will be quite low-key, but they are hoping to be able to spend some time together and enjoy the Italian cuisine.”
In May mum-of-two Kate was snapped nuzzling up Liam, a friend of Kate’s late husband Derek Draper, as set off on a Paris bike ride in London.
Derek died in January 2024 after a near four-year Covid battle.
Speaking about her new romance at the Tric awards last month Kate said: “It’s early days, but it has been a great year.”
In April Liam told The Sun: “I’ve known Kate for years and we’ve recently become close.
“We laugh a lot and really enjoy each other’s company.
“This may or may not turn into something longterm but there is a definite spark between us and we’re both excited to see what happens.”
