Nick Cody shares exciting family news live on air
Australian comedian and Fox FM presenter Nick Cody has announced that he and his wife, actress Lucia Smyrk, are expecting their third child together.
The 41-year-old shared the happy news during Wednesday morning’s broadcast of Fifi, Fev & Nick, revealing that their newest addition is due in October.
“I’ve got a little exciting announcement myself. October this year, we’re having a baby!” Cody told co-hosts Fifi Box and Brendan Fevola, prompting an immediate celebration in the studio.

Another baby boy on the way
Nick also confirmed that the couple are expecting their third son, joking that the growing family is well on its way to forming “their own footy team.”
Already parents to sons Charlie and Max, the comedian said both boys are thrilled about welcoming another little brother into the family.
“They’re so pumped,” he shared of his sons’ excitement.
Fifi Box congratulated the couple on the joyful milestone, saying she and the team were incredibly happy for them.
“This is so exciting for you and Luc! We are so happy for you,” she said.
Meanwhile, Brendan Fevola—who shares four daughters with wife Alex Fevola—laughed at the prospect of Cody becoming the father of three boys.
Nick keeps the laughs coming
Staying true to his trademark sense of humour, Cody couldn’t resist turning the pregnancy announcement into a joke.
After seeing the baby’s ultrasound scan, he quipped that there was no need for a DNA test.
“We’ve had a scan, no need for a DNA test. That is a big ol’ head in there. That is my son,” he joked.
He then laughed that he hoped his sons would develop better AFL skills than he did.

A growing family
Nick Cody and Lucia Smyrk have been married since February 2017 and have built a close-knit family over the past several years.
The couple welcomed their second son, Max Alistair Cody, in 2021. At the time, Nick announced the birth on Instagram two days after Max arrived, revealing that the newborn was healthy and relaxed.
He also praised his wife for the smooth delivery, joking that Lucia “smashed him out in under two hours,” before sharing another funny family moment: eldest son Charlie was so excited to meet his baby brother that he immediately sneezed on him and briefly insisted the baby’s name was “Dog.”
Lucia Smyrk’s career in television
Outside family life, Lucia Smyrk has enjoyed a successful career in the Australian entertainment industry.
She has appeared in television series including Neighbours, Blue Heelers, and Wentworth, and has also worked behind the camera as an assistant director on productions such as Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries and The Ex-PM.

Nick joined Fifi, Fev & Nick in 2021, replacing longtime presenter Byron Cooke.
When his appointment was announced, the comedian said he was “so pumped” to be joining Fifi Box and Brendan Fevola on the popular breakfast program.
Now, five years later, Cody has another reason to celebrate, with he and Lucia preparing to welcome their third son and another exciting new chapter for their growing family this October.
