Officers made the tragic discovery on Boxing Day morning
A BODY has been found in the search for a missing teenager who suddenly vanished on Christmas Eve.
An urgent hunt had been launched for missing 19-year-old Adam who was last seen at around midday in the Yatton area of north Somerset.
But police have now confirmed officers searching for Adam have discovered a body on Boxing Day morning.
They added that formal identification is yet to take place but his family have been informed.
Adam’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “We have a very sad update to bring you this afternoon.
“Officers searching for missing Adam found a body in the Yatton area this morning (December 26).
“While formal identification has yet to take place, his family have been informed and our thoughts are with them.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
