If there’s one thing Princess Kate does especially well, it’s know exactly what to wear to a wedding. The Princess of Wales always looks demure, without taking focus from the bride, and adds thoughtful, elegant touches to her looks through jewellery and colour symbolism.

This weekend, as you will have likely seen, Kate attended the wedding of Peter Phillips, Prince William’s first cousin, and Harriet Sperling at the All Saints’ Church in the village of Kemble, and she did it in true Kate style. Wearing an incredibly elegant tweed dress from Roland Mouret paired with a wide-brimmed fascinator in a matching neutral huge, pointed-toe stiletto pumps and a woven clutch, the princess certainly nailed wedding guest dressing.

However, it was her jewellery that we couldn’t stop marvelling at. For the occasion, Kate chose to dig out a pair of Kiki McDonough Morganite drop earrings from her jewellery box – the exact style she had worn for her sister, Pippa Middleton’s, wedding back in 2017. Sadly, these earrings have been out of stock for quite some time now, but the brand does offer similar Cushion Morganite and Diamond Detachable Earrings for £5,300, if you really want to splash out.

Otherwise, let Kate serve as your inspiration for summer 2026’s top wedding jewellery craze: pink gemstones.

Ranging from pale pink to peach and violet, the meaning of morganite centres on themes of unconditional love, emotional healing, and compassion, making it the perfect choice for a wedding– whether you’re the bride or a guest. It will be no coincidence either that Kate has chosen to wear the pink gem earrings to two weddings now, signalling she’s very aware of the meaning of the stone.

If you want to take inspiration from the royal, Swarovski’s Attract drop earrings are the ideal alternative. On sale for £69, down from £99, they’re a similar pear shape to Kate’s and feature the pink stone combined with silver

While Kate’s exact earrings may be a little bit out of our budget, her handbag certainly, and very surprisingly, isn’t. The Princess completed her look with a woven clutch from Forever New, priced at £28, proving you don’t need a designer budget to look wedding-ready. The bag has been a staple in Princess Kate’s wardrobe ever since she first wore it during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022, but the clutch bag has unfortunately sold out, most likely due to Kate’s endorsement.

Woven bags have become increasingly popular for weddings, race days and garden parties, and Forever New has a few woven alternatives still in stock, including the Sutton Weave Small Bag, £40, and the Waverly Weave Phone Purse, priced at £30.
