“Could This Be The End?”: Fresh fears emerge over Jamie Cripps’ future after the West Coast veteran suffered a devɑstɑting knee ιnjury in the WAFL — with worrying new updates now painting a grim picture for his career… 😢

West Coast veteran Jamie Cripps’ career may be over after suffering an ugly looking knee injury in the WAFL on Saturday.

The 34-year-old lost his footing while trying to evade tacklers in a game against South Fremantle, seemingly hyperextending his leg and immediately grabbing his knee.

Clearly in serious pain, Cripps was helped from the field and reportedly left the venue on crutches.

9News Perth reported Paddy Sweeney posted on social media that the fear is a torn ACL.

A long-term injury would likely spell the end of Cripps’ career, after signing a one-year extension with the Eagles last year.

He is one of just four players remaining on West Coast’s list from the 2018 premiership, alongside Liam Duggan, Elliot Yeo and Tom Cole. Cripps kicked one goal from 16 touches in the epic decider.

Things have been grim for the Eagles since, finding themselves plastered to the bottom four for effectively the entire 2020s.

Cripps has been one of the few constants for the club, playing 277 career games as a small forward and kicking 339 goals.

He played 21 games for West Coast in 2025, but was dropped this season as the club looks to get games into younger players.

Cripps has played five games and kicked four goals so far this season, omitted after the club’s Derby loss to Fremantle.

The forward started his career at St Kilda, playing 16 games for them across 2011 and 2012 before joining the Eagles.

He is the cousin of Carlton star Patrick Cripps.

West Coast’s AFL side is in Victoria to take on Melbourne on Sunday, looking to bounce back after their shock loss to Richmond.
