CHRISTMAS has come early for Tadhg Beirne and wife Harriet after they announced the birth of their adorable baby girl.

The doting couple broke the wonderful news on Instagram with a first pic of the newborn.

Alongside the pic of the new mum and dad holding the tot’s hand, they revealed the child’s name – Penelope Robyn Beirne.

Followers flocked to the comments to congratulate the beaming parents, with one saying: “Awhhh I’m so so happy for you angel! Congratulations”.

Tadhg and Harriet revealed they were expecting their first child back in August – declaring: “Good things come to those who wait”.

The soulmates announced the news on Instagram, corresponding with their third wedding anniversary.

They shared pics of the two together while Harriet can be seen cradling her stomach.

This personal milestone comes after Tadhg Beirne reached a professional landmark earlier this summer.

The Munster and Ireland star landed the official Lions Player of the Series despite some confusion.

The news came after a bizarre mix-up that involved Finn Russell after the final Test defeat to Australia in Sydney.

The Bath star was named Howden Player of the Series, with the sponsors selecting Russell as the standout performer.

But Tadhg Beirne won the Tom Richards Medal, presented to the official Player of the Series.
