Jake Hall ‘died from chest injury caused by glass shard’ after Towie star ‘tried to harm himself & crashed through door’
TRAGIC Towie star Jake Hall died from a chest injury caused by a shard of glass after he allegedly tried to harm himself, investigators believe.
Jake, 35, suffered head wounds after allegedly turning aggressive and crashing through a door during a party at the £200-a-night Majorcan villa he was renting.
Sources close to the investigation said the worst injury the reality star suffered was a chest wound from broken glass after smashing into a door.
The insider said: “The thorax injury was the one emergency responders at the scene felt was the most traumatic one and most likely to have been fatal.”
Jake’s autopsy is expected to take place today in the Majorcan capital Palma, but the results will not be publicly released.
The results of the tests will help clarify suspicions Jake was high on drink and drugs when he died.
Local cops have confirmed that the death is being treated as accidental with “nothing pointing to it being the result of a crime at this stage”.
Jake was found dead in a Majorcan holiday villa, and had previously revealed that the only thing that kept him going was his daughter River.
The Sun exclusively revealed that the 35-year-old former reality show star was partying on the Spanish island before he was found in a pool of blood at the property.
He was reportedly enjoying a raucous night at the upmarket apartment in the heart of Majorca just hours before his tragic death.
Local cops are understood to have quizzed several other people at the house where the death occurred, believed to be four men and two women.
Their nationalities have not been released.
Pictures have also shown inside of the luxury £200-per-night villa where Jake died.
The holiday home in Santa Margalida features two grand bedrooms and a large living room.
It also showcases traditional Spanish blue shutters that have now been cordoned off with police tape amid a thorough investigation.
The booking website clearly states that parties and events are not allowed at the expansive residence.
But reports suggest this is where the group came back after witnesses allegedly saw them start the night off elsewhere.
A source said: “Witnesses told investigators he had been out partying all night and decided to carry on the booze-filled rampage back at the place he was renting.”
They added: “It appears from what police have been told that he became agitated, possibly from alcohol and other substances he may have consumed.”
The source also said at one point things “turned aggressive” and he may have “tried to harm himself by banging his head against things.”
Another insider said: “The hypothesis that he died while self-harming after a possible combination of too much alcohol and possibly drugs is still the one that appears to be the most likely at this stage.”
Cops found Jake with fatal wounds at the rented villa in Majorca in the early hours of Wednesday.
Neighbours reported hearing “loud noises” that were strong enough to make walls vibrate just hours before police arrived at the property.
It comes as Jake’s close pal reveals some of the future plans the late star had and details of their last phone call.
Dan Bulman shared a heartfelt message on social media following the tragic news.
He shared a photo of Jake sitting on a sofa looking contemplative.
He wrote alongside it: “I rarely post stuff on here but if there’s one guy worth taking a different path for it’s my mate Jake.
“It’s incredibly hard to believe he’s gone in a flash, just like that.
“I’d regularly joke with Jake that he was all over the place, in fact we joked about that on the phone two days ago.
“We joked about it, because it was his biggest strength too.
“Jake’s ability to balance all his raw creative power together with how personable he was, as demonstrated by the outpouring of love for him, made him nothing short of incredible.”
It comes after Jake battled a number of personal and professional struggles in recent years, from losing his fashion brand Prévu to being slapped with a restraining order by ex-girlfriend Missé Beqiri, the mother of his daughter River, seven.
He uploaded a quote in October about where he wants to be by the time he is in his 40s and what he wanted to achieve.
It read: “You can be: lost at 22, broke at 28, unsure at 31, start over at 35, glow and rise at 38, find your purpose at 42, become truly unstoppable at 47.
“Trust the process. You’re not behind. You’re still becoming. Greatness is never rushed.”
Jake shot to fame on The Only Way Is Essex in 2015 and had an explosive on-off relationship with Chloe Lewis, with millions of viewers following every moment of their doomed romance.
He left the show in 2016 and later revealed he had not kept in touch with any of his co-stars.
“I was very young,” he said.
“And it was an experience. I’m in a very different place in life now and want different things. There has been a lot of good and bad.”
Jake shared his daughter with Misse Beqiri, star of The Real Housewives of Cheshire. The pair welcomed River in 2017 but split in 2021.
