Teenager, 17, who drowned while swimming in Lake District beauty spot is pictured
A 17-YEAR-OLD teenager who drowned while swimming in the Lake District has been pictured.
Absi Ahmed’s body was pulled from the lake near Windermere by a search team on April 7.

It is believed that the teen got into difficulty when he entered the water on Tuesday afternoon.
He has now been named in a post by Fylde Cricket Club as Absi Ahmed, of Poulton-le-Fylde.
A multi-agency rescue operation was launched after Cumbria Police received reports of a person in difficulty in the water at High Dam Tarn.
Absi’s body was found on the night of the search, with his death not being treated as suspicious.
The student at Blackpool Sixth Form played junior cricket at Fylde Cricket Club.
A spokesperson for the club said: “Our thoughts are with Absi’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
“As a club, we stand beside you and send our heartfelt love, strength and support. You are part of our Fylde family, and we are here for you always.
“We will hold a minute’s applause before all of our friendly fixtures this weekend to remember Absi.”

Tributes have been pouring in for an ‘amazing’ Blackpool sixth form pupil who tragically drowned after swimming at a Lake District beauty spot earlier this week.
On Tuesday (April 7), a widescale search was launched after a member of the public raised the alarm that Absi Ahmed had got into difficulty at the High Dam Tarn, near Windermere. Cumbria Police raced to the scene shortly after 12.30pm where they established the teen as missing.
The desperate search involved police, fire and ambulance services, the coastguard and mountain rescue teams while local farmers helped carry personnel and equipment over rough terrain. Searches were also conducted along the shoreline, water surface and underwater, reports Lancs Live.
The teen who died has now been named locally in a post by Fylde Cricket Club as Absi Ahmed, of Poulton-le-Fylde.
