‘She was ray of light’ – Heartbreaking tributes pour in for woman, 34, killed in St Patrick’s Day crash

POLICE have named the woman killed in a two-vehicle crash in Co Fermanagh on St Patrick’s Day as Niamh Kavanagh.
The 34-year-old, from Galway, lost her life in a collision in the Marble Arch Road area of Enniskillen shortly before 10pm.

Emergency services and PSNI officers rushed to the scene after the alarm was raised.
Niamh was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the incident after her vehicle collided with a Volkswagen Amarok jeep.
Her death notice, posted to RIP.ie, described her as a “kind, gentle and loving soul”.
Niamh’s family confirmed a private cremation will be held on Monday.
Donations, if desired, can be made to the Irish Senior Citizen Parliament and MADRA.
Mourners remembered Niamh as a “beautiful and kind” person.
Members of Annaghdown GAA Club said: “All at Annaghdown GAA Club would like to express our sincere condolences to all of the Kavanagh family on the profoundly sad and sudden loss of Niamh Kavanagh, Kilgill.
“We offer sympathies also to her friends and neighbours near and far.”
A local cafe in Bundoran shared: “It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of the passing of our friend and former colleague Niamh Kavanagh.
“Niamh was a ray of light. She brought joy, laughter and such energy to our community.
“Our thoughts are with her family, partner, friends and everyone who was privileged to have known her.”
A former school friend shared: “I went to school with Niamh and she was one of the kindest people, with the biggest smile and an even bigger heart.
“She was always there with a beautiful smile when you needed to see one the most.
“I’ll always remember her and keep you all in my thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.”

Another said: “News of Niamh’s untimely passing stopped me in my tracks today. Such a beautiful, kind person gone far too soon.
“I haven’t seen Niamh since school but I will never forget the light that radiated from her. Sincere condolences to you all on this heartbreaking loss.”
One person said: “I was so deeply sorry to hear of the passing of your beautiful daughter Niamh, my heart aches for you and your family at this tragic time.
“You are in my thoughts and prayers, wishing you gentle moments of peace and strength to carry you through the days ahead. May Niamh’s gentle soul rest in peace.”
Another said: “I am so truly saddened to hear on the passing of your beautiful daughter Niamh, so tragically. There are no words that will ease the devastation felt by all her family and friends.
“May she guide you through the coming days, weeks and months ahead. A beautiful life taken too soon. May she rest in heavenly peace.”
