Channel Seven Revives I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! After Network 10 Shelves the Series

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia is officially preparing for an unexpected television comeback, with Channel Seven confirming it will revive the popular reality series in 2027.
The announcement comes only months after Network 10 revealed that the long-running program would be removed from its 2027 schedule.
A New Chapter Begins at Channel Seven
Channel Seven is expected to introduce a refreshed version of the familiar format, combining celebrity personalities, jungle adventures and the suspense-filled challenges that have defined the program for more than a decade.
A new group of well-known contestants will be sent into the jungle, where they will compete in demanding trials while helping raise awareness and support for selected charities.
Angus Ross, Seven’s Managing Director of Television and Streaming, described the program as one of the most recognisable entertainment franchises in the world.
He said the network was excited to welcome the show in 2027 and planned to bring “fresh energy and ambition” to its next chapter.
However, one major question remains unanswered: who will host the revived series?
Robert Irwin and Julia Morris’ Future Remains Unclear

The most recent seasons were presented by Robert Irwin and Julia Morris, but Channel Seven has not confirmed whether either host will return for the reboot.
Irwin joined the program in 2024, replacing longtime presenter Dr Chris Brown, and quickly developed a strong on-screen partnership with Morris.
After Network 10 announced the series would be rested, Irwin reflected warmly on his three seasons as host, describing the opportunity as an extraordinary privilege.
Having grown up watching the program, he said joining the production team had felt like a dream come true.
Irwin also paid tribute to Morris, describing her as both a co-host and a close friend. He said working beside her had been a life-changing experience that he would always remember.
More Than a Decade on Australian Television
The Australian version of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! first aired on Network 10 in 2015.
Over the years, the jungle welcomed a wide variety of Australian and international personalities, including actor Frankie Muniz and The Brady Bunch star Barry Williams.
Alongside its entertainment value, the program became known for highlighting the personal stories of its contestants and supporting numerous charitable organisations.
Why Network 10 Rested the Program
In May, Network 10 confirmed the show would not be included in its 2027 programming schedule after weeks of speculation about its future.
The network explained that it had chosen to rest the series while concentrating on delivering a wider range of content across its television and digital platforms.
Despite the cancellation, Ten indicated that it hoped to continue working with both Morris and Irwin on other projects.
Channel Seven’s surprise decision means the jungle doors will not remain closed for long.
With a new network, a refreshed direction and an entirely new celebrity cast expected, the revival could become one of Australian television’s most closely watched launches of 2027.
