Strictly Come Dancing has seen its fifth couple eliminated from the 2025 series
Strictly Come Dancing has aired the fifth elimination of the 2025 series.
This yearâs couples graced the dance floor on Saturday night (November 1) with a variety of eerie performances for Halloween week.
After combining the judgesâ scores with viewer votes on Sunday (November 2), Vogue cover star Ellie Goldstein and her partner Vito Coppola found themselves in the dance-off against EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon.
Ellie and Vito were first to take to the floor, performing their Tango to Abracadabra by Lady Gaga. Balvinder and Julian then battled to win over the judges with their Rumba to Stay by Shakespears Sister.
The judges unanimously voted to save Balvinder and Julian, resulting in Ellie and Vito becoming the fifth couple to be eliminated from the competition, reports Wales Online.

Host Tess Daly took a moment to commend the pairâs partnership, telling Vito: âEveryone behind the scenes, everyone in front of the camera, everyone at home, can see what an incredible partnership you have had with Ellie and just how much it means to you.â
The Italian professional dancer then expressed his feelings to Ellie, saying: âHonestly, there are no words I can use to describe how proud I am of you and you did really change my life so much.
âYou made me such a better person. At the beginning of this year, I said to myself, âPlease, please, please can you send me a beautiful angel into my life?â And now you arrived.
âIâve never had a little sister but I always wanted one. Now, I have you and youâre my little sister forever, and your big brother is always by your side.â
When asked about her experience dancing alongside Vito, Ellie gushed: âIâve enjoyed it so much! He is a kind person and all I wanted from day one. You have been so heartwarming, thank you to you [Vito].â
Vito wrapped up by promising Ellie that their dancing partnership would carry on beyond the programme.
The results show also showcased a wickedly entertaining Monstersâ Ball group number performed by the professional dancers.
There was additionally a spectacular musical performance from Celebrity Traitors favourite Cat Burns, who was joined by professional dancers Michelle Tsiakkas and Nancy Xu.
This weekend, former Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope and his professional partner Katya Jones were at the top of the leaderboard after scoring 40 points for their Couples Choice to Creep by Radiohead.
Meanwhile, Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Karen Hauer found themselves at the bottom of the rankings after performing an American Smooth to Mystical Magical by Benson Boone.
