🚨“I’ve let my family down and I apologise… but I’m VERY happy right now” — AFL golden boy Lachie Neale strikes a tone of regret and relief as his broken marriage to wife Jules is quietly shelved, and the eyebrow-raising truth about his so-called “new life” finally comes into focus 😲

Lachie Neale looked carefree and relaxed as he spent his Sunday afternoon playing suburban cricket in Brisbane.

The AFL star, 32, was all smiles as he turned out for the Sluggers cricket team in a Last Man Stands match, appearing completely at ease despite the ongoing affair scandal that has engulfed his personal life.

Dressed in a blue and yellow Sluggers jersey, black Puma shorts and a white cap pulled low over his face, Lachie laughed and joked with his teammates.

Lachie was seen grinning broadly as he clutched a cricket ball, his muscular arms on display and his trademark confidence back in full force.

Lachie’s eyes were locked on the ball as he raised his bat high above his shoulder, his expression focused but calm as he played on through the day.

The laid-back appearance comes just weeks after Lachie stepped aside as Brisbane Lions co-captain following the very public collapse of his marriage to wife Jules.

The laid-back appearance comes just weeks after Neale stepped aside as Brisbane Lions co-captain following the very public collapse of his marriage to wife Jules

Earlier this month, Lachie fronted a tense press conference where he confirmed the relationship had broken down but refused to answer directly when asked whether infidelity played a role.

While he stopped short of specifics, Lachie accepted responsibility, telling reporters: ‘I have let my family down and I apologise for my actions which have hurt those closest to me. And for that, I am deeply sorry.’

‘I accept this as a consequence of my actions and I need to focus on rebuilding the trust with Jules as the future well-being of our children remains our number-one priority.’

Behind the scenes, however, the saga has continued to escalate.

His wife Jules has since returned to Western Australia with the couple’s two young children, Piper, four, and Freddie, one, while Lachie has settled into a new Brisbane bachelor pad following their separation.

He was recently photographed shirtless on the balcony of the inner-city apartment during what appeared to be a low-key housewarming with friends, showing no visible signs of strain as he adjusted to life on his own.

The $2.43 million Seven Hills home the couple once considered their forever home is now believed to be vacant or in preparation for sale or lease.

Jules, meanwhile, has received an outpouring of public and private support, with high-profile WAGs, socialites and fitness influencers rallying around her as she rebuilds her life.

The split first became public in late December when reports emerged that the couple were ‘working through’ marital issues, a claim Jules quickly shut down, declaring she had been ‘betrayed in the most unimaginable way’.

The scandal deepened as attention turned to former Mormon missionary Tess Crosley, who has been named as being at the centre of the marriage breakdown.

In recent days, the situation intensified further after Tess’s husband broke his silence, fuelling renewed interest in the saga and placing Lachie back under the spotlight.

Despite the noise, Lachie appeared unfazed on Sunday, laughing freely and throwing himself into the game.

His future at Brisbane also remains uncertain, with the dual Brownlow medallist only contracted until the end of the 2026 season.

As an unrestricted free agent, speculation continues to mount that Lachie could seek a return to Western Australia to be closer to his children, a move Brisbane coach Chris Fagan has already indicated the club would support.
