Man City 0 Tottenham 2: James Trafford has horror show as brilliant Spurs continue incredible record over Pep Guardiola

JAMES TRAFFORD had a calamitous home debut as Tottenham had another memorable day at the Etihad.
The England keeper got the nod to start over long-serving Ederson, but gifted Joao Palhinha a goal in first-half stoppage time.
Earlier, Brennan Johnson had put the visitors in front with a goal that was initially disallowed but then overturned by the VAR.
It meant Thomas Frank’s men put the disappointment of missing out on Eberechi Eze behind them and continued their positive start under the new boss.
City looked the more likely to break the deadlock early on as Omar Marmoush nipped in ahead of Guglielmo Vicario.
But the angle was too tight and he rolled a shot just wide of the far post.
The Egyptian then fired a low shot from the edge of the box that brought the first save of the match from the Spurs keeper.
And he missed a third chance when Erling Haaland slipped a pass through that put him clear – but Vicario was out quickly to block.
However, the loss of summer signing Rayan Ait Nouri to injury seemed to unsettle the home side and the misses came back to bite them.
Richarlison broke clear down the right and crossed for Brennan Johnson to beat Trafford and score his second Prem goal of the season.
