I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Finds New Home on Channel Seven After Network 10 Exit
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia is officially returning in 2027—this time on Channel Seven.
The long-running reality franchise was dropped by Network 10 earlier this year after 12 seasons, but ITV Studios Australia has now confirmed the jungle series will continue on a new network, marking the beginning of a new chapter for one of Australia’s best-known entertainment shows.
While the format is staying alive, major questions remain over who will front the revived series.

Channel Seven Confirms 2027 Revival
Channel Seven announced that it has secured the rights to air I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! from 2027.
David Mott, CEO and Managing Director of ITV Studios Australia, said the company was excited to begin a “brand-new era” for the franchise.
He said Australian audiences had embraced the show for more than a decade thanks to its challenging trials, camp drama and emotional celebrity moments, adding that the production team was ready to deliver the next evolution of the series.
Seven’s Managing Director of Television and Streaming, Angus Ross, also described the programme as one of the world’s most recognisable entertainment formats and said the network was looking forward to bringing fresh energy to its next chapter.
Robert Irwin’s Future Yet to Be Confirmed
Although Seven has confirmed the show’s return, it has not announced who will host the new version.
Attention has quickly turned to Robert Irwin, who has become one of Australian television’s fastest-rising stars following his work on I’m A Celebrity and his recent appointment as host of the 2026 TV Week Logie Awards.
Industry sources believe Seven is eager to retain Robert as the face of the franchise as part of a strategy to refresh the long-running format for a younger audience.
However, no official agreement has yet been announced.

Julia Morris Hints Her Time on the Show Is Over
Julia Morris, who co-hosted I’m A Celebrity for 12 years, has strongly suggested she does not expect to return.
Speaking after the programme’s cancellation by Network 10, Julia admitted she was looking forward to having a break and joked that even her bank account would now be getting “a rest.”
She also acknowledged that the series could continue on another network without her.
In an emotional interview, Julia revealed she personally encouraged Robert Irwin to continue with the show if he was offered the opportunity.
“I know your message is more important than my ego,” she recalled telling him.
According to Julia, Robert responded by saying he would not want to continue without her, a gesture she described as incredibly touching.
Seven Searching for a New Co-Host
With Julia not expected to return, Seven is reportedly searching for a new female co-host to join Robert Irwin.
Ricki-Lee Coulter was understood to be an early contender, but her commitments to Australian Idol, breakfast radio and other projects have reportedly ruled her out.
Television insiders now claim the network’s shortlist includes a well-known Australian actress and a popular radio personality, although no names have been officially confirmed.
Reports have also linked Carrie Bickmore to the role, with Seven said to be looking for someone who already has a strong connection with Australian audiences while bringing a fresh dynamic to the series.
Talent agencies are expected to receive formal approaches as the network finalises its presenting team.
Could Dr Chris Brown Return?
Another familiar name linked to the franchise is Dr Chris Brown.
Chris originally hosted I’m A Celebrity alongside Julia Morris before leaving the programme in 2023 to join Channel Seven, where he now presents Dancing With The Stars.
While there has been speculation he could become involved again, no official discussions or announcements have been confirmed.
Production Plans Still Being Finalised
The revived series is expected to return to its traditional South African filming location.
However, discussions are reportedly continuing over whether the programme will once again air live or move to a pre-recorded format.
Behind the scenes, the jungle series is expected to help fill the entertainment schedule previously occupied by SAS Australia, rather than replacing The Voice Australia, which remains one of Seven’s flagship programmes.
A New Chapter for a Familiar Franchise
Although I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is returning under a different broadcaster, much about its future remains undecided.
Who will ultimately join Robert Irwin—if he returns at all—has yet to be confirmed, while the hosting lineup, production format and final creative direction are still being worked through.
For now, Channel Seven has secured one of Australia’s most recognisable reality brands. The remaining pieces of the puzzle are expected to fall into place over the coming months as preparations begin for the show’s highly anticipated 2027 comeback.
