Ant McPartlin yelled ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ to London after growing tired of the city’s thousands of e-bikes. He said his step-daughters had even claimed he had “anger issues” after he revealed his irritation over the Lime cycles, once booting over a row of them.

The Geordie presenter, 50, was speaking to pal Declan Donnelly, also 50, on their Hanging Out With Ant And Dec podcast when he discussed this decision to quit the capital and his home in Wimbledon.

He told Dec: “Have I ever been on a Lime bike? Yes. Why are you so shocked at that, of course I have been on a Lime bike. There was a period where I used to live, people would leave their Lime bikes outside my house. Just outside the gates.

“I got so angry and one day, I kicked them all down. I got told I had anger issues by the kids. I don’t have anger issues. I was just angry at the people who kept leaving them… there were like, four of them.”

He went on: “Then every day I go out and it’s as if they knew, it was winding me up. And there would be one parked outside my house every day. I was like, “I am f***ing sick of this” and kicked it over. But that’s not anger issues, I was just angry.”

When asked if the incidents were part of the reason he moved out of London he laughed and said: “Yes, I had to move out of London because people were parking bikes outside of my house.”

Ant and his wife Anne-Marie Corbett swapped their £6m home in Wimbledon for a huge £10million abode in Surrey in February. The gated property his home to the couple and their kids, Wilder, two, and teenage daughters Poppy and Daisy from Anne-Marie’s previous marriage to Scott Corbett.

His marriage came after Ant split from his ex wife Lisa Armstrong in 2018. They had been together for more than a decade.

The Britain’s Got Talent presenter recently confessed he feels he is a better person nowadays than he used to be. Reflecting on life with his wife and kids, Ant said fatherhood has changed him.

He told Dec: “It changes you for the better. All of the sleepless nights, the early mornings, the tiredness is worth it.”

He also admitted he wouldn’t be opposed to having more kids in the future. Ant said: “I’d have loads more kids. I mean, I’m too tired, but I would have more kids.”

Later on in the podcast Dec appeared emotional as he read a letter to his younger self. It read: “Say hi to 1994 Ant for me. Tell him to remember he’s a great kid, and it will all be ok. Even when it feels like it won’t. Look out for each other, enjoy the ride and hey, respect guys. Love from future Dec.”

The Britain’s Got Talent presenters have been faced with many ups and downs throughout their decades-long friendship – including children, weddings and a divorce.

Ant turned his life around after he was convicted of drink-driving in 2018, and previously spent time in rehab, seeking treatment for a painkiller and alcohol addiction. But the pair’s friendship remains stronger than ever.
