A BIG SURPRISE: NRL boss says the league will throw ‘the world’s biggest birthday party’ for Jai Arrow, with details being kept tightly under wraps as anticipation builds around what is being planned behind the scenes… and an UNEXPECTED gift is also set to be revealed, something insiders say no one will see coming.

Jai Arrow spent time at a wellness centre in Spain this week but he will be present for AFL’s MND round this weekend.

Jai Arrow is set to make an appearance at Collingwood on Monday as part of the AFL’s motor neurone disease round.

He is currently in Spain at a wellness retreat, battling MND after being diagnosed last November.

Arrow, 30, will be a special guest of the Pies and will conduct the coin toss at the beginning of their clash with Melbourne, according to Tom Morris.

The game will host the 12th edition of the Big Freeze to fundraise and raise awareness for FightMND.

Meanwhile the NRL is also preparing their own fundraising efforts for Arrow and MND.

They are planning to host ‘Jai July’, a round dedicated to MND awareness like the Big Freeze.

There will also be special birthday celebrations for Arrow with the league “planning to throw the world’s biggest birthday party,” according to Peter V’landys.

Arrow will also be present at his former club Rabbitohs for their next home game.

“We’re really looking forward to celebrating Jai’s career and his contribution to the club at our match against the Broncos next week in front of our fans and members,” club CEO Blake Solly said.

“After that, we will be looking to continue to support Jai’s fight with a series of fundraising initiative and events including the July 12 match.

“We know that Jai is in for the fight and everyone at our club and across the game is committed to supporting him, Berina and Ayla as much as we can.”

While Arrow was a special guest at the Origin 1 opener after being invited into the Queensland camp by head coach Billy Slater.
