Fans of Tess Daly and Vernon Kay have been desperate to find out what happened to the pair’s 23 year marriage, and here’s what could be behind it.
Tess and Vernon have split after becoming “consumed by work pressures”, with a celebrity astrologer claiming the pair had become âlostâ while focusing on their booming careers. The much loved TV couple shocked fans when they announced they were separating after more than two decades together, insisting the decision had been made amicably and with âcare and respectâ.
Now celebrity astrologer Inbaal Honigman has shared her insight into what may have caused cracks in their marriage, suggesting the relationship breakdown was not due to a lack of love.

Speaking on behalf of OLBG, Inbaal explained that Tarot cards point towards career struggles and clashing personalities rather than romantic incompatibility.
âTess and Vernon have always loved each other, and will always love each other,â she said. âTheir split is not a result of romantic incompatibility, but rather a clash of two big personalities during a challenging moment in their careers.â
According to the astrologer, the cards suggest the pairâs emotional connection remained strong throughout their marriage. âThe romantic âCupsâ Tarot cards show that Tess has always had a crush on Vern, and he is her one true love,â Inbaal continued.
She also claimed Vernonâs reading revealed how deeply he valued his wifeâs affection and support over the years. âVernonâs past Tarot cards are âMajor Arcanaâ cards which reveal how much he enjoyed her love and attention,â she explained.

However, the expert believes both stars became increasingly consumed by professional commitments, leaving little room to prioritise their relationship. âBoth Tess and Vern receive the businesslike âPentaclesâ cards to describe their feelings right now,â she said.
âTheyâve both been focusing on work, to the detriment of their marriage.â
Inbaal also suggested the pair were dealing with very different emotional journeys behind the scenes, despite appearing picture perfect publicly.
âTess has felt a bit lost for the first time in many years,â she claimed. âWhile Vern is described as achieving success beyond his wildest dreams.â

The comments come just days after Vernon returned to his BBC Radio 2 show following news of the split, where he publicly thanked fans for their support during the difficult time.
In an upbeat tone during a handover with colleague Gary Davies, Vernon said: âI just want to say on behalf of myself and Tess, thank you, thank you, for all your well wishes, itâs been greatly, greatly, appreciated.â
The couple confirmed their separation in a joint Instagram statement, writing: âAfter much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably.
âThis has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us. We remain great friends and most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority.
âThere are no other parties involved in this decision. We kindly ask for privacy during this time as we navigate this transition together. We will not be making any further public comments.â
Tess Daly and Vernon Kay have been married for 23 years and share two daughters, Phoebe and Amber.
