Inside Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash’s DIY wedding – 65p favours and homemade signs
While Stacey and Joe didn’t ‘legally’ get married on their ‘wedding day’ back in 2022, it was a spectacular ceremony surrounded by their nearest and dearest – lets take a look…
Stacey Soloon and Joe Swash have been hit by reports they did not legally marry at their stunning, DIY wedding. The Loose Women star and former EastEnders actor Joe, splashed their big day across social media back in 2022, sharing all the little details and personal touches with fans.
The pair said “I do” at a ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family in the grounds of their home, Pickle Cottage. However, the property was not able to host a legal wedding because it was a private family home, meaning Stacey and Joe would have needed to register their marriage elsewhere.
Sources claim that life got in the way of Stacey and Joe, meaning they never got around to heading to the registry office together.
Their big day had been a day to remember with a number of famous faces in attendance including Stacey’s Loose Women pals and former The Only Way Is Essex cast member James Argent, also sang at the ceremony with his band.
The wedding was full o the brim of home-made elements, including the welcome sign, guest favours and petal pop-ups. Stacey – who even dyed her own hair on the day – certainly put her own stamp on the day as she was surrounded by her nearest and dearest.
Lets take a closer look at their ‘unofficial’ wedding day.

5 of 11Not legally married
After getting married at home in 2022, Stacey made clear in an Instagram Story, that they were not able to get legally married. Responding to a fans questions about home weddings, Stacey wrote: “To get married anywhere legally, the place has to have a ‘civil ceremony’ licence. One of the requirements for this licence is that the premises must be made ‘readily available’ for ceremonies. As this is our private family home and we need it to remain that way we couldn’t go for that option. So we are having a relaxed private blessing in front of our closest friends & family and a ceremony of our love to each other and we will register our marriage legally after.”
