Just minutes before she was voted off Strictly Come Dancing, Vicky Pattison’s ‘selfless act’ towards one of her co-stars was clocked by viewers at home. And many are absolutely gutted she’s now out of the competition.
In the top five of the bookies odds on Strictly 2025 winner from the early days of the new series, Vicky’s confidence seemed to grow week on week, with her then having the night of her life last weekend, when she came within a whisker of getting a perfect score for her tango to Taylor Swift’s Fate of Ophelia. The ex I’m A Celebrity winner and her pro partner Kai Widdrington topped last week’s leaderboard with a score of 39 out of 40, with Craig Revel-Horwood the only judge not to brandish his 10 paddle.
Unfortunately for Vicky and Kai, there was a very different story a week later, with their jive to Girls Aloud’s Sound of the Underground only getting 27, a mark that left them tied at the bottom of the leaderboard with Balvinder and Julian. After the Strictly spoiler leaked the result late on Saturday night, the drama played out in full on BBC One on Sunday evening.

All eight couples were left standing as host Tess Daly announced the results one by one and, Vicky put her own nerves aside, to step across and celebrate with La Voix, as the Drag Race UK finalist was the first to find out she was through to Blackpool. Vicky’s kindness didn’t go unnoticed by legions of fans watching at home, with one taking to X to post: ‘Vicky hugging La Voix imma cry :(.’ Spotting the same thing, another posted: ‘OMGMGMGMG SOBS LA VOIX #strictly that hug from vicky too i love her.’
After congratulating La Voix, Vicky was dealt the huge blow off being in the dance-off for the first time and things then got worse for the Newcastle star, when all four judges opted to keep Balvinder and Julian in over her and Kai.
